The Victorian Trout Conspiracy

The Victorian Trout Conspiracy

Think of the Victorian era and you’re hit by images of the industrial revolution, magic and mysticism, time machines and genius detectives, gothic clothing and architecture and the doubling of the British population as sexual appetites exploded. The Victorian Trout Conspiracy slam all these grim and gritty Victorian influences together and bring them forth to the present in a time machine of their own making, brandishing a sexy, sleazy and unique brand of Dirty Urban Ghetto Funk.

The original two members of Victorian Trout Conspiracy snowballed along, grabbing school-friends, passed-out musos, a music-shop employee, a film director and a random stranger along the way.  In only a short time, the burgeoning 8-piece have garnered a loyal fan-base with sell-out shows in their hometown of Edinburgh, sold out the first run of their debut EP, won a video contest for their single, ‘Magnet’, played the main stages of several Scottish festivals (Kelburn, Knockengorrach, Belladrum, Audio Soup & Linkylea) and played a residency for the prestigious Late N Live at Edinburgh Festival.

With a unique & explosive sound, an iconic look and a wickedly raucous live show, an exciting future lies ahead for the Victorian Trout Conspiracy and their growing legion of ladies and gentlemen.
